I’m using hard.dnsforge.de directly on android wireless settings.
Recently Facebook totally broke. I cleared the app cache and data to try to solve it but it got worse, now I can’t even login again.
I removed harddns from android settings and then facebook app worked. So, the problem is the dns.
Unfortunately, as I use it directly on android settings, I’m not able to identify the exactly domain causing the issue.
If it’s possible, can someone check it?

Please excuse me, but we cannot set a whitelist for the hard version.
You can use PCAPdroid to find out where the app wants to connect to. This also works with Private DNS.
Please report the domains found that were then blocked to the list operator or give them to us, we will then report them.
Alternatively, you can also use Clean or Normal, where we can whitelist.

I analyzed using RethinkDNS, these are the domains that are i think critical to it’s functionality:
web[.]facebook[.]com
web-fallback[.]facebook[.]com
Those graph ones might be tracking domains, so i ignored them
Those are indeed blocked by hard via the hagezi Ultimate list.
Hagezi Ultimate is blocking all META trackers on purpose. This is not going to change and aligns with the idea of hard.dnsforge.de to be as strict as possible for maximum privacy.
For users who want to use services by the likes of META it is recommended to use the regular dnsforge.de.
